Our "Why": Livy's Story

Pet Pro Booking started from something very personal.
My cat Livy wasn’t just a pet. She was family, she was part of my daily life, my routines. She was my home. She had this way of making everyone fall in love with her, even people who didn't like cats.
One day, everything changed. She stopped eating and just wasn't herself. I knew something was wrong.
I did what any pet owner would do: I tried to get her help as quickly as possible. We went to her usual vet, thinking they had her file, knew her, plus they had good reviews. But the care we received at that moment wasn’t what it needed to be. I was dismissed and rushed. Livy and I were treated horribly. The next day, she died of a heart attack.
That experience haunted me for years. Not just the loss but the immense guilt. The feeling of not knowing who to trust, where to go, or whether I was making the right decisions when it mattered most.
After that, I started spending more time around animals again—volunteering, pet sitting, walking dogs. It helped me feel like I wasn't so helpless anymore, like I could help them in my way.
And it also opened my eyes: I met so many different pets, all with their own needs, personalities, and sensitivities. And I spoke with a lot of owners.
I realized I wasn’t alone. So many pet owners, and even professionals, have faced frustration, disappointment, and helplessness when navigating the world of pet care. Our story is not isolated. It's much more common than we might think.
What I heard was always similar: finding the right professional is harder than it should be. Whether it’s struggling to find trustworthy care, reading through endless and often unreliable reviews, or scrambling to meet specific needs—pet care can be overwhelmingly difficult when it matters most.
That’s where Pet Pro Booking comes from.
Not just to “solve a problem,” but to make things more trustworthy, clearer, and fair—for everyone involved. Pet owners, professionals, and the animals at the center of it all.
We’re building something that values transparency, quality, and real care. A place where you can actually feel confident in who you’re trusting with your pet, your family.
Livy’s legacy is woven into every aspect of Pet Pro Booking. She is very much part of the reason I care this much about doing things properly.
This is built with a lot of love, but also with high standards. Because when it comes to our animals, “good enough” isn’t good enough.
