There are some people you meet who instantly make you feel understood. That's exactly what happened with Lara. I had been following Willow on Instagram for quite some time (like many others, I completely fell in love with him). We started talking with Lara, and very quickly the discussion became very deep. The more we talked, the more similarities we discovered. We had both experienced the devastating loss of a beloved cat. We had both gone through burnout. We had both made the difficult decisio

--- Why we're crowdfunding Over the past two years, we've met with pet owners and pet professionals across Luxembourg. We've listened, asked questions, tested ideas, and learned how different every profession really is. A groomer doesn't work like a veterinarian. A trainer doesn't organise appointments like a pet sitter. A boarding facility doesn't have the same needs as a behaviourist. Some professionals work alone. Others manage teams. Some offer fixed appointments, while others need flexible

> We're incredibly excited and grateful to be featured in Paperjam. > For a moment it was the second article on the homepage, right below the featured story. We’re incredibly honoured to have been selected by the jury to pitch at Nexus 2026 in the Digital Health & Platform category. As a selected startup, we were given a booth for the two-day event (June 10–11). And to be honest—what a ride it was. Because we value transparency and sharing real experiences, I wanted to take you behind the scenes. This is a side of the journey we don’t often show. > If you’re building something yourself—or hesitating to put yourself out there—I hope this gives you

> We’re excited to introduce a new kind of pet professional in our spotlight series: creators who don’t just work with animals, but build products inspired by them. > For this edition, we’re featuring Oscar’s Favorites, a healthy treat brand inspired by their dog, Oscar. > We first met at Coconut Pet’s birthday event, where we connected over our shared mission to improve pet wellbeing. > Later on, they joined us as partners at Nexus, generously providing samples of their freeze-dried snacks for

Pet Pro Booking started from something very personal. My cat Livy wasn’t just a pet. She was family, she was part of my daily life, my routines. She was my home. She had this way of making everyone fall in love with her, even people who didn't like cats. One day, everything changed. She stopped eating and just wasn't herself. I knew something was wrong. I did what any pet owner would do: I tried to get her help as quickly as possible. We went to her usual vet, thinking they had her file, knew

We’ve had the pleasure of interviewing Dr. Véronique Jaeger—a passionate vet who knew her path from a very young age, and followed it to make it her reality. Some people say they’ve always known what they wanted to do. In her case, you can actually feel it. She also shares simple but important reminders for pet owners, as well as some life-altering moments. Get to know Dr. Jaeger differently.

Introduction The European Union has approved its first comprehensive legislation aimed at protecting cats and dogs across all member states. This marks a significant shift from fragmented national rules toward a unified framework. Given the scale of pet ownership and the growth of online pet sales, this regulation addresses long-standing gaps in traceability, welfare standards, and cross-border enforcement. What the new EU law introduces 1. Mandatory identification and registration All cats and

Cats don’t show pain the way we expect. No limping, no crying — often just small, easy-to-miss changes. That’s why researchers at the University of Montreal developed the Feline Grimace Scale (FGS) — a practical, science-backed way to spot pain just by looking at your cat’s face. What is the Feline Grimace Scale? The Feline Grimace Scale (FGS) is a validated tool used to assess acute pain in cats based on facial expressions. It works by observing small, measurable changes in a cat’s face — thing
